In our PE classes, we encourage the use of teamwork, communication skills and cooperation social skills. These students worked to use these social skills during their PE class. Just a reminder that our BES annual Fun Run will take place tomorrow on Saturday, April 12 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Byhalia Walking Trail Park - 58 E. School Street! !!Get ready for our BES Fun Run this Saturday, April 12 from 1:00-5:30 p.m.!! It will be located at the Byhalia Walking Trail Park - 58 E. School Street Please see the scheduled race times below, which are grade-level specific. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your child's race is set to start to get him/her checked-in and to receive their Fun Run T-Shirt. Race Start Times: Kindergarten - 1:30 p.m. 1st Grade - 2:00 p.m. 2nd Grade - 2:30 p.m. 3rd Grade - 3:00 p.m. 4th Grade - 3:30 p.m. Plan to stay after your child's race for the awarding of the winners' trophies and medallions. We are allowing time between the races for family pictures as well. There are over 230 students registered for our BES Fun Run! There will be a large crowd, so arrive early to find a parking spot. We also suggest bringing lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating. There will be food trucks at this event as well as our fabulous PTO. We can't wait to see you at the BES Fun Run! Huge shoutout to the BES P.E. teacher Coach McClatchy for hosting such a wonderful event year after year. We are also grateful for all of the support he's received from BES Staff, community members, and sponsors. It is surely to be an event you don't want to miss!

Congratulations to Ms. Jones’s 4th grade class for earning our BES T.C.C. PE Class of the Week for 3-31/4-4. These students exhibited wonderful social skills during their PE class this week. With their use of great teamwork, communication skills, and cooperative skills this class enjoyed a very safe and fun environment in their class. Thank you for being positive role models in our BES family 😊

All after-school activities and clubs for today, 4/4/25, will be canceled. YMCA Aftercare will operate as normal today.

Byhalia and Galena schools are planning to have a regular school day tomorrow, April 4, 2025. We will be monitoring the weather throughout the night, and we will let you know if anything changes. Our hearts go out to those impacted by the recent storms and devastation. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts as we support one another during this time.

After careful consideration while monitoring the weather and listening to road reports, the Marshall County School District will close April 3, 2025. Please stay safe.

All Marshall County Schools, other than H.W. Byers, will operate on a 2 hour delay on April 3, 2025. We will continue to monitor the weather and make a different decision if necessary. H.W. Byers will be closed today.
