We invite you to attend our annual spring title 1 planning meeting. It will take place today, Monday, May 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the BES library! We'll discuss how Title 1 affects your children and parents who attend will earn an out of uniform pass for their child to be used before the last day of school. We hope to see you there. Mark your calendars for our end of year programs! Kindergarten will have their end of year program on May 15th at 9:30am! First-second grade's program will be at 9am on May 16th! Third-4th grade's program will be at 12:30pm on May 16th.

Congratulations to Ms. Strickland’s 4th grade class for earning our BES T.C.C. PE Class of the Week for 4-14/4-18. Her students utilized great social skills in their PE class this week. With the use of “teamwork, communication skills, and cooperative skills,” this class enjoyed a safe and fun PE class. !!Get ready for our BES Fun Run this Saturday, April 12 from 1:00-5:30 p.m.!! It will be located at the Byhalia Walking Trail Park - 58 E. School Street Please see the scheduled race times below, which are grade-level specific. We also suggest bringing lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating. There will be food trucks at this event as well as our fabulous PTO. We can't wait to see you at the BES Fun Run! Huge shoutout to the BES P.E. teacher Coach McClatchy for hosting such a wonderful event year after year. We are also grateful for all of the support he's received from BES Staff, community members, and sponsors. It is surely to be an event you don't want to miss!

All after-school activities and clubs for today, 4/4/25, will be canceled. YMCA Aftercare will operate as normal today.

Byhalia and Galena schools are planning to have a regular school day tomorrow, April 4, 2025. We will be monitoring the weather throughout the night, and we will let you know if anything changes. Our hearts go out to those impacted by the recent storms and devastation. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts as we support one another during this time.

After careful consideration while monitoring the weather and listening to road reports, the Marshall County School District will close April 3, 2025. Please stay safe.

All Marshall County Schools, other than H.W. Byers, will operate on a 2 hour delay on April 3, 2025. We will continue to monitor the weather and make a different decision if necessary. H.W. Byers will be closed today.
