We had such a fun time at our Cozy Cocoa party for those students who met their AR goal with 80% accuracy! These students have been hard at work reading books and taking comprehension quizzes on those books and we just had to celebrate them! I hope to see even more students at the AR party in May! :)

Congratulations to Mrs. Priar's 3rd-grade class for earning our BES T.C.C. PE Class of the Week for 11-27/12-1-2023. These students showed that by using great social skills they could have a PE class that was fun, safe, and active. With an emphasis on "teamwork, communication, and cooperation" social skills, we incorporate better citizenship in our PE classes.
Keep working at using great social skills in all situations. Well done! 😊

Congratulations to Ms. Walls's 2nd Grade Class for earning our BES T.C.C. PE Class of the Week for 11-13/11-17. These students used outstanding social skills during their PE class this week. They were a pleasure to work with and we enjoyed a safe, fun, and active class. Thank you for using your "teamwork, communication, and cooperation" skills in dealing with others. Keep being good role models for all of our students!

BES would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We will welcome students back to school on Monday, November 27, 2023. Have a wonderful break!
The BES Pep Squad will host tryouts on Monday, November 27th and Wednesday, November 29th. If your child wishes to try out, they must bring proof of insurance, as well as a sports physical. 
There will be no tutoring for BES students this week. They will go home their regular way. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
Congratulations to Ms. Strickland's 4th grade - Group 3 for earning our BES T.C.C. PE Class of the Week for 11-6/11-10. This group of students was selected for their excellent use of social skills in their PE class this week. Due to their wonderful behavior, the students enjoyed a fun, safe, and active PE class. They used T.C.C, (teamwork, communication, and cooperation) along with other social skills!

We have received several calls regarding school tomorrow due to Veteran's Day taking place this Saturday. BES WILL be in session on Friday, November 10, 2023. Please send your child(ren) to school. Happy Veteran's Day and thank you to those who have served!

Congratulations to Ms. Kimzey for being selected as our Staff Member of the Month for the month of October!
Congratulations to Ms. Lockler's 3rd-grade class for earning our BES T.C.C. Class of the Week for 10-30/11-3. This is their second time to earn this designation. These students displayed wonderful social skills in their PE class this week and their good behavior allowed these students to have a fun, safe, and active PE class.
We emphasize T.C.C. (teamwork, communication, and cooperation) in our interactions with others. Thank you students for being good role models for our other students.
We would like to send a HUGE shout out to Michael Bellapanni(center) from North Central Electric Cooperative for presenting Justin Innskeep and Pam Hipp (far left), along with Mandy Smith(far right), from the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid South with a $20,000 grant to help provide after-school care for Byhalia Elementary School students at a new discounted rate. This grant ensures high quality youth programs are accessible to all! 💙
