This past Friday, Byhalia elementary school hosted its annual shuttle cup challenge for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students!
The shuttle cup challenge consists of various heats between boys and girls. The objective is the race down to a set of three cups, retrieve one cup, race back to where you started, and place the cup there. Once you have all three cups placed and stacked in a small tower, you must stand behind the cups throwing your hands in the air. We did this until there was a top 1, 2, and 3rd place winner in each category and grade level. Students demonstrated grit, determination, perseverance, and exceptional athleticism as they navigated this physical challenge. Thanks to the relentless guidance from our very own Coach McClatchy, these students cheered each other on no matter where they placed. Congratulations to our winners and we surely can’t wait for next year’s competition!
